Privacy Policy

Scope
This policy applies to ApplyNotes 1.1.0 and is separate from the ApplyApp website privacy policy.
Information stored locally
Notes, journal entries, rich-text content, Projects, status information, settings, attachment metadata, and local history are stored in the current Chrome profile using extension storage. Screenshot and image files are stored locally in IndexedDB. Short-lived editor and capture state may use session storage.
Capture behavior
A user-initiated capture may use the active tab and an injected selection overlay. A completed capture can be written to the system clipboard after the user requests it. The reviewed local workflow does not silently capture, monitor the clipboard, or upload screenshot pixels.
Manifest permissions

The current Manifest has no host permissions, <all_urls>, history permission, or clipboard-read permission.
Cloud development status
Cloud Sync is not part of the current public release. Cloud features, when released and explicitly enabled, will have separate data-handling disclosures before they are offered publicly.
Backups and uninstalling
ApplyNotes provides Full Backup for local workspace data and media. Uninstalling a Chrome extension may remove its extension storage and IndexedDB data, so create and keep a Full Backup before uninstalling when the content matters to you. Full Backups are not encrypted.
Sharing and selling
ApplyApp does not sell ApplyNotes content or use notes, journal entries, or screenshots for advertising. The current extension has no analytics, AI/OCR service, or network upload in its public local-only release.
